Zebra Cichlid - 6cm (Maylandia estherae) (Live Fish)

Zebra Cichlids (Maylandia estherae) are robust Lake Malawi mbuna admired for their striking colouration, active behaviour, and strong personality. Their bold appearance and natural rock-dwelling habits make them a popular choice for dedicated African cichlid aquariums.

They thrive in well-maintained aquariums with stable, hard, alkaline water, strong filtration, good oxygenation, and plenty of rocks and caves for shelter and territory. Like many mbuna, they can be territorial, so providing ample rockwork, suitable tankmates, and adequate aquarium space is important. Feed a predominantly vegetable-based diet of quality mbuna pellets and flakes, supplemented with suitable algae-based foods.
