Skunk Corydoras are striking freshwater catfish known for their bold black stripe arching from snout to tail over a lighter body, resembling a skunk’s pattern — a distinctive and eye-catching look that makes them popular in community aquariums. Their classic armored body and delicate barbels add charm to their active bottom-dwelling behaviour.

Best kept in groups of six or more, Skunk Corydoras thrive in well-established aquariums with soft, sandy or fine gravel substrate to protect their sensitive barbels, gentle water flow, and plenty of plants or driftwood for cover. Peaceful by nature and active foragers, they bring life and movement to the lower regions of the aquarium while coexisting well with other calm community fish.
