Similis Corydoras - 3.5cm (Live Fish)

Similis Corydoras (Corydoras similis) are striking freshwater catfish most commonly known in the aquarium hobby as the Smudge Spot Cory. This is due to the distinct, large dark smudge at the base of their tail that sometimes gives off a violet-blue sheen. The rest of their body is covered in small, dark freckles.

Best kept in groups of six or more, Similis Corydoras thrive in well-established aquariums with soft, sandy or smooth gravel substrate to protect their sensitive barbels, gentle water flow, and plenty of plants or driftwood for cover. Peaceful by nature and constant foragers, they bring lively movement to the lower regions of the aquarium while coexisting well with other calm community fish.
