They thrive in well-maintained aquariums with stable water quality, gentle to moderate water flow, plenty of plants, and open swimming space. Best kept in groups, they feel more secure and display their natural social behaviour. Floating plants and a secure aquarium cover are beneficial, as these active surface-oriented fish can jump.

Feed a varied diet of quality micro pellets, finely crushed flakes, frozen, and live foods.
