Desert Rainbowfish - 5cm (Melanotaenia splendida tatei) (Live Fish)

Desert Rainbowfish are a stunning Australian native subspecies of the Eastern Rainbowfish, found in the arid inland waterways of Central Australia. Males develop vivid colouration with iridescent scales that intensify with age and good conditioning.

They are active, hardy schooling fish that adapt well to a range of water conditions. Best displayed in groups where males will colour up and display to one another, making them a lively and eye-catching centrepiece for the community aquarium.
