Kuhli Loach (Thai Giant) - 7cm (Pangio myersi) (Live Fish)

Thai Giant Kuhli Loaches are fascinating bottom-dwelling loaches admired for their elongated, eel-like bodies, distinctive banded markings, and peaceful, secretive nature. They are most active around dusk and at night, when they emerge to explore, forage, and interact with other loaches. The name "giant kuhli" is commonly associated with larger Pangio species such as Pangio myersi.

They thrive in well-maintained aquariums with stable water quality, soft sand or fine substrate, gentle filtration, and plenty of plants, driftwood, caves, leaf litter, and other hiding places. Best kept in groups, they feel more secure and display more natural behaviour. Their slender bodies allow them to burrow into soft substrate and squeeze into small sheltered spaces, so a secure aquarium lid is recommended.
