Forktail Blue Eyes (Pseudomugil furcatus) are small and lively Australian rainbowfish admired for their brilliant blue eyes, shimmering yellow-green bodies, and distinctive forked yellow-and-black fins. Their energetic schooling behaviour and compact size make them an excellent addition to planted community and nano aquariums.

They thrive in well-maintained aquariums with stable water quality, good oxygenation, gentle to moderate water flow, and plenty of plants and open swimming space. Best kept in groups, they display their natural social behaviour and look particularly impressive when actively schooling. Floating plants can provide additional cover, while a secure aquarium lid is recommended as they can jump.

Feed a varied diet of appropriately sized micro pellets, finely crushed flakes, frozen, and live foods.
