Fly River Rainbowfish (Glossolepis wanamensis), also known as the Lake Wanam Rainbowfish, are striking New Guinea rainbowfish admired for their shimmering emerald-green to blue-green colouration and active schooling behaviour. Their elegant body shape and vibrant iridescence make them an impressive feature fish for spacious planted aquariums.

They thrive in well-maintained aquariums with stable, clean water, good filtration, strong oxygenation, and plenty of open swimming space. Plants, rocks, and driftwood provide useful cover while allowing ample room for active swimming. Best kept in groups, they display more natural social behaviour, with mature males developing stronger colouration and more elaborate finnage.

Feed a varied omnivorous diet of quality rainbowfish pellets, flakes, small frozen foods, and suitable live foods to support healthy growth and vibrant colouration.
