Crimson Spotted Rainbowfish (Melanotaenia duboulayi) are attractive Australian native rainbowfish admired for their shimmering silver-blue bodies, crimson spotting, and active schooling behaviour. Hardy and peaceful, they make an excellent addition to spacious planted community aquariums.

They thrive in well-maintained aquariums with stable water quality, good water movement, and plenty of open swimming space alongside plants. Best kept in groups, they display their natural schooling behaviour and develop their best colour when fed a varied diet of quality pellets, flakes, frozen, and live foods.
