Costae Tetras (Hyphessobrycon costae) are attractive South American schooling fish admired for their subtle iridescent colouration, peaceful temperament, and active swimming behaviour. Their gentle nature makes them an excellent addition to planted community aquariums with other small, peaceful fish.

They thrive in well-filtered aquariums with stable water quality, plenty of plants, and open swimming space. Best kept in schools of six or more, they should be fed a varied diet of quality micro pellets, flakes, and frozen or live foods to support their health and natural colouration.
