Black Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) are peaceful freshwater shrimp admired for their deep black colouration and active grazing behaviour. This selectively bred colour variety adds strong contrast to green plants and lighter substrates, making it an excellent choice for planted aquariums and dedicated shrimp setups.

They thrive in mature, well-maintained aquariums with stable water quality, plenty of plants, moss, driftwood, and other surfaces for grazing and shelter. They spend much of their time feeding on algae, biofilm, and organic matter, while quality shrimp foods and suitable vegetables can be offered as supplements.
