Banded Archerfish - 7cm (Toxotes jaculatrix) (Live Fish)

Banded Archerfish have elongated silver bodies with dark vertical bands, pointed heads, large eyes, and upturned mouths.

Approximate size: Up to 25–30 cm (10–12 in)
Temperament: Generally peaceful toward similarly sized tank mates, but may eat smaller fish and can be territorial
Recommended tank size: 400 L (105 US gal) or larger
Diet: Carnivorous/insectivorous; insects, floating foods, frozen foods, and other meaty foods. They are well known for shooting jets of water at insects above the water surface.
Origin: Indo-Pacific, including India, Southeast Asia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and northern Australia
Basic care information: Keep in a spacious, well-filtered brackish aquarium around 25–30°C (77–86°F) with a pH of approximately 7.0–8.5. Provide plenty of open swimming space, overhanging branches or structures, and a secure lid because they are powerful jumpers. They are surface-dwelling fish and are best kept with similarly sized, brackish-tolerant tank mates. While they can enter freshwater, they are primarily associated with brackish mangrove and estuarine habitats.
