Yellow Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) are vibrant freshwater shrimp admired for their bright yellow colouration, peaceful nature, and excellent algae-grazing abilities.

Approximate size: 2.5–3 cm (1–1.2 in)
Temperament: Peaceful freshwater shrimp
Recommended tank size: 20 L (5 US gal) or larger
Diet: Omnivorous; algae, biofilm, decaying plant matter, and shrimp foods. Supplement with sinking shrimp foods or blanched vegetables as needed.
Origin: Taiwan and surrounding areas of East Asia; Yellow Cherry Shrimp are a selectively bred color variety.
Basic care information: Keep in clean, stable freshwater around 20–26°C (68–79°F). Provide plants, moss, and hiding places for grazing and shelter. Avoid sudden changes in water parameters, copper-based medications, and aggressive tank mates. They breed readily in established aquariums when conditions are stable.
