Acclimation Guide

1. Prepare Your Aquarium

Make sure your aquarium is fully cycled, with 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite, and the temperature is suitable for your new fish.

2. Start Drip Acclimation

Place your fish and their transport water into a clean container. Using airline tubing, slowly drip water from your aquarium into the container at approximately 2–4 drops per second.

3. Slowly Add Aquarium Water

Over the next 30–60 minutes, allow the water volume to approximately double. This helps your fish gradually adjust to their new water conditions.

4. Transfer Your Fish

Gently net your fish into their new aquarium. Avoid adding transport water to your tank.

5. Give Them Time to Settle

Keep the aquarium lights off for a few hours and wait until the following day before feeding.

Sulawesi Rabbit Snails are unique freshwater snails known for their elongated shells, gentle nature, and active behaviour.

Common names: Sulawesi Rabbit Snail, Rabbit Snail
Scientific name: Tylomelania spp.
Approximate size: 5–10 cm (2–4 in), depending on species
Temperament: Peaceful freshwater snail
Recommended tank size: 40 L (10.5 US gal) or larger
Diet: Omnivorous; algae, biofilm, vegetables, sinking foods, and other suitable aquarium foods. A varied diet and adequate calcium help support healthy growth and shell condition.
Origin: Sulawesi, Indonesia
Basic care information: Keep in clean, stable, well-oxygenated freshwater around 26–30°C (79–86°F). Provide rocks, wood, and other surfaces for grazing, along with a soft substrate where they can forage. Maintain mineral-rich water with adequate calcium for shell health. Rabbit snails are generally peaceful and are live-bearing, producing a small number of relatively large young. Avoid copper-based medications and sudden changes in water conditions.
