The Trifasciata Rainbowfish is a slender freshwater fish with a silvery to bluish body marked by several distinct dark horizontal stripes along its sides. Its iridescent scales and translucent fins may display subtle golden, orange, or reddish tones, creating a bright, elegant appearance.

Origin: Northern Territory and Queensland, Australia
Basic care information: Keep in a group with plenty of open swimming space, plants or cover around the edges, and clean, well-oxygenated water. Maintain stable warm conditions around 24–30°C, with neutral to slightly alkaline water. Males become deeper-bodied and develop much stronger blue, red, yellow, or green coloration, while females are generally smaller and less colorful. This species has many distinct locality forms with significant differences in coloration and body shape. A secure lid is recommended as they can jump.
