The Spotted Blue-Eyes Aru II is a small, slender freshwater fish with a silvery body decorated with fine dark spots and a subtle blue iridescent sheen. Its large reflective eyes and delicate translucent fins give it a bright, graceful appearance.

Approximate size: 2.5–3.5 cm
Temperament: Peaceful and active; best kept in groups of 6 or more
Recommended tank size: 40–60 L or larger
Diet: Omnivorous/micro-predatory; accepts crushed flakes, micro-pellets, baby brine shrimp, daphnia, microworms, and other appropriately sized foods
Origin: Aru Islands, Indonesia
Basic care information: Keep in a group in a mature, well-planted aquarium with open swimming space, floating plants, and gentle flow. Provide clean, well-oxygenated water with stable conditions around 22–28°C and pH 6.0–7.5. Males develop striking blue eyes, pale blue-white to golden coloration, and distinctive spotted, elongated fins, while females are generally smaller and less colorful. Small foods offered several times a day are ideal. A secure lid is recommended as they can jump.
