Clown Killifish (Epiplatys annulatus) are tiny, peaceful surface-dwelling fish admired for their striking vertical black and cream bands, vivid red-orange tail, and distinctive clown-like appearance. Their small size and fascinating behaviour make them an excellent choice for planted nano aquariums and peaceful community setups.

They thrive in well-maintained aquariums with stable water quality, gentle filtration, floating plants, and plenty of cover near the surface. Best kept in groups, they feel more secure and display their natural behaviour. A covered aquarium is recommended, as these active surface fish can jump. Feed a varied diet of suitably sized micro foods, frozen, and live foods.
